For  over 30 years, BEI has been dedicated to supporting refugee and immigrant students through free ESL classes, multilingual language support, and comprehensive career and academic advising, helping thousands from diverse backgrounds achieve success.

Refugee Support Services

English Classes

Improve your English with our convenient classes in person or online!

Health Classes

Learn everything you need to lead a healthy and informed life in the United States.

Citizenship Classes

Prepare for the US citizenship exam with civics and history lessons, practice exams, and English interview preparation.

Academic & Career Advising

Partner with an advisor to set goals and develop strategies for achieving your academic and career aspirations.

Vocational Training

Advance your career with a certificate or license in fields like healthcare, business, trades, IT, or project management.

Family Resources

Receive information and referrals for critical services such as public benefits, employment, and medical case management.

Eligibility Requirements

Students must be at least 16 years old, have lived in the US for less than 5 years, and hold an eligible immigration status such as:

 

  • Refugee

  • Asylee

  • Parolee (Cuban, Haitian, Afghan, Ukrainian)

  • Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) Holder

  • Victim of Human Trafficking

*Immigration documentation is required for registration.
