 Since 1982, Bilingual Education Institute (BEI) has offered English as a Second Language (ESL) courses to non-native speakers of English. The Intensive English Program is designed for students at all levels of English language proficiency, with an emphasis on developing the necessary oral and written skills for academic studies and business or professional communication.

  We offer:

•   Morning Intensive English Program   Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

                        Lab Schedule: Monday- Friday (1:00 PM-5:00 PM)

•  Afternoon Intensive English Program  Monday-Thursday 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

  Lab Schedule: Monday-Thursday (8:30AM-12:30PM)

  Free Tutoring sessions for all IEP students:

  Monday-Thursday 12:30-1:00PM (Reading and Writing)

  Friday: 1:00PM-3:00PM (Conversation)

  Curriculum

  Students in these intensive programs will be focusing on seven essential components of language acquisition, including:

  Grammar, Reading, Writing, Listening, Idioms, Conversation, Cultural Awareness and Non-verbal communication.

  BEI provides 8 levels of Intensive English, from Pre-1 to Level 7.

  Our dynamic classes are taught by native-speaker instructors in high-tech classrooms, bringing cutting-edge technology directly into the learning environment. Our expectations for the students in our Intensive English Programs are extremely high.

  We value the success of each individual and our instructors strive to not only motivate our students, but also to inspire them to high achievement in the classroom and in everyday life.

  Because not every individual learns the same way, here at BEI we incorporate temperament and personality type’s methods to suggest the best learning and teaching strategies for student success.

  High-tech Classrooms:

  All our classrooms are equipped with Hitachi Starboards, coupled with the latest Apple computers, providing for a more exciting and dynamic classroom. This opens up a whole new world of possibilities for involving students in interactive games, learning activities, and sharing multimedia language and cultural input.

  Tutoring:

  At no-cost tutoring sessions are available for all BEI’s Intensive English students in Writing, Reading and Conversation. The sessions allow students to have extra individualized attention in these specific areas. Students can request assistance with tips, formatting and even homework - All from Native English Speakers.
